Depending on the model, the lamp shades can be used with standard incandescent bulbs, small incandescent bulbs ("candle" and "ping pong" style) and Halogen lamps (small: 150w; large: 200w, 300w, 500w). Please choose from the available options for the lamp shade of your choice.

What happens if something breaks on the way?

All products are carefully inspected prior to shipping and are shipped in perfect condition. We take extra care in packaging and make sure that each piece is well protected both from other pieces in the same package as well as from external blows. Our packaging has been designed to exceed the 1 meter drop test, which is the international standard required for breakable products. Nevertheless, it is not impossible for breakage to occur in unusual circumstances over which we have no control and cannot be held responsible. If you want to be 100% safe you should consider insurance. You will be asked if you wish to have insurance during the checkout process.

How breakable are the ceramic pieces?

The ceramic pieces are cured in a kiln at temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees centigrade and are very strong. They are not fragile and can be put to reasonable use without fear of breakage. Nevertheless,  just like other works of art or tableware which are made of breakable materials, such as glass or porcelain, they too would break if dropped or subjected to a strong blow.
